Hello Crew!
What a roller coaster ride it has been over the past year. Get it, roller coaster ride and we're roller coaster enthusiasts. I hear crickets so I guess it's time to move on. Over the past year some things have changed for the better. We saw the Coaster Crew and In the Loop split and membership options for the club have changed.
Coaster Crew and In the Loop are now separate entities. What sounds like sad news is actually for the best. The enthusiast group and podcast were heading in two different
directions. Now the podcast can be more adult oriented while The Crew can continue to be all about family fun, friendship and fellowship. This may be old news, but if you're hearing for the first time it isn't a bad deal. There is no animosity or bad blood between the two groups. You don't have to choose sides.
Another change we saw starting in December of 2014 was the elimination of the regular Coaster Crew membership. If you join or renew your membership you are automatically a platinum club member now.
The club is now platinum membership for everyone for several reasons. We wanted everyone to be able to take advantage of the wonderful things that parks offer enthusiast clubs and we wanted to bring you more perks. In addition to being able to attend awesome events like Coasterstock at Kings Island you will find more perks. We're working hard to bring you discounts (we're finalizing the details and should have a list of available discounts soon). In December of 2015 all Platinum members will receive an exclusive calendar that is only available to members (limit 1 per family, no additional units will be sold). You may also see surprise mailings throughout the year.
Current Coaster Crew members that are not platinum during the 2015 season may attend any event hosted by coaster crew. A platinum membership is required for park held events, club discounts and perks.
